next on raw tools is irish producer and label owner, costelloe, delivering two tracks much in the manner of his previous works, both of them at the fine line between techno and house music.

back in soviet times when the official local music market was controlled by the biggest record monopoly in history melodiya, many local musicians who wanted to express themselves in actual form, released tapes themselves and spread it through a big underground market network called magnitizdat (short of magnetic tape release). it began in the 60s with soviet rock movement and illegal copies of foreign music which got through border with tourists, seamen and diplomats. in the late 80s you could find there many different shades of music from underground protest rock, post punk, avant-garde to a lot of electronic pop, local kind of italo disco and dj s mixtapes with a personal rap on top of it. plus seven records begins a sublable series of remastered edits which narrate about dance part of this story.

as he keeps busy on d edge s new sub label olga with a brand new artist album, boss man renato ratier also manages to serve up a hot new ep on the main label with dynamic regard stimming. the pair cook up two fine tracks that showcase both of their styles in all their glory. philosophy goes first and is a playful, loose limbed dance floor groover with parping blasts of sub bass, richly soulful pads and slow burning sense of crescendo that will really lift dancers up and carry them away. it is perfectly detailed and expertly produced to really jump out of the speakers and is sure to be a massive hit this summer in brazil and beyond. conscious then flips the script and slows to a perfectly seductive crawl. lazy drums, slow blasts of white noise and a poignant bassline all get backed by glowing pads and the overall effect is soothing, seductive and sensual. this is a fine ep from two very talented producers and cements a long standing relationship in style.

cologne based artist adryiano has finally threaded into label managing waters. ever since the emerge of his multi functional platform cestraw back in 2011 adryiano has been twisting and thinking on when to launch the label side of things. after the humble success of his latest *down south* effort on soul notes it felt like the right time.
cr/001 turned out to be an emotive dance floor record that touches several different modes within the spectrum of underground dance music. from the straight forward 303-anthem *break module* to the uplifting yet deep, chicago-ish tones of *path of yours* - adryianos *default ep* is set to unfold just in time for the cold, dark days before christmas.
